This race was a bit of a lonely one for me, as I lacked pace in qualifying at Summit Point. This track was challenging, and I struggled to find the last few tenths I needed to qualify at the front, so I ended up starting in P6. With the pole sitter failing to grid, I moved up to P5 for the race start.
I played it safe in the opening laps, gradually working my way through the field to settle in P2 behind Robby Prescott for most of the race. I was just a few tenths off his pace each lap, unable to close the gap. The setup could have been optimized a bit better, as I struggled with understeer for most of the race, and wasn’t fully satisfied with the balance.

In the end, I finished P2, six seconds behind the leader. I’m happy to bring home more points, making this my fourth 2nd place finish of the season and putting me at the top of the championship standings! Next up is Bathurst, and I’m excited to focus on that. We’ll do our best and see what happens!
